Memorial for Kieran Quinn & Robin Brown
Saturday, November 16 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Nyack Boat Club, 59 Gedney Street
Gather to share our fond memories and to celebrate our dear friends, neighbors, and fellow sailors, Kieran Quinn & Robin Brown.
In their honor, we will also share our appreciation of the Hudson River with a Thai tradition that Robin and Kieran celebrated with friends in Thailand at the festival of Loi Krathong. This is an ancient festival that honors and thanks the goddess of water, Phra Mae Khongkha (พระแม่คงคา), and asks her forgiveness for any harm done to the waterways.
At 6:00pm, the Quinn family will make the traditional Thai offering to the river of a krathong, a wreath of leaves and flowers, in memory of Robin and Kieran.
