Nyack’s Regret The Hour Shares Stage
with Seeger, Sokolov & Speziale
Sunday’s Winter Solstice concert at the Fellowship of Reconciliation isn’t your average rock and roll event. Pete Seeger will be there, as well as Nyack’s own Regret The Hour. Oh, one more thing: event organizers ask you to bring a dish to share. When was the last time you went to a concert like that?
The six hour event — running from 1-7p on Sun — requires a suggested donation of $20 a person or $40 family. And an optional covered dish (event organizers request something “savory or sweet”).
At 2:30p, a Special Peace Award Ceremony will honor Spring Valley residents Steve and Emilia White for their work in the East Ramapo School District, “…rallying, campaigning, organizing, advocating, and finding innovative ways to shine light on a situation that is depriving children of an adequate education and fracturing a community,” according a FOR press release.
Headliners performing include recording artist and jazz vocalist Lisa Sokolov, Pat Lamana, Paul Speziale, Answer The Muse, Jay Unger & Molly Mason Family Band and folk music legend and activist Peter Seeger. The Fellowship of Reconciliation is located at 521 North Broadway in Upper Nyack.
Children always welcome. For more information, visit FORusa.org.
