HopperHappens: 2 Mins of Nyack at Night

by Kris Burns

Last Saturday I projected a series of Hopper street scenes (with some stray houses and windows thrown in for good measure) on one of my favorite corners in Nyack.

Watching the brick patina, graffiti-ed mailbox, stray wires and lingering people become incorporated into Hopper’s world, from all different angles, made me appreciate the elegance and brilliance of a Hopper composition all the more.

Here’s two minutes of Nyack nightlife at the corner of Park Street and Main Street in Edward Hopper’s home town.
