Arts Scholarship for Rockland County Students

Who says the arts don’t pay?

The Arts Council of Rockland’s (ACOR) will award Fall 2010 scholarships to graduating Rockland high school students pursuing studies in the arts in New York State. Applicants must be Rockland County residents who will attend a public or NYS private university, college or conservatory to study theater, dance, music, musical theater, architecture, writing, the visual arts or videography.

ACOR will convene a panel of judges who will select winners based on demonstrated artistic merit. Applicants must submit complete applications by May 10, 2010 at 1p.

The scholarships are made possible by a grant secured by State Senator Thomas Morahan and donations made to ACOR’s Scholarship Program. Funding the Fall 2010 ACOR scholarship program is dependent on pending grants from New York State.
