On September 11, the Village of Nyack held a solemn 25th remembrance of 9-11 in Memorial Park followed by the unveiling of Nyack’s own “Tribute in Light.” People gathered to remember, reflect on, and honor the lives lost, and to remember the courage, sacrifice, and service of the many people who gave so much in the years that followed.
Local people who were lost that day include Welles Crowther (“the man in the red bandana”), Harry Wanamaker Jr., Stacey Sennas McGowan, Joseph Stach Jr., Jon Albert, and Ross Dailey. (Photos by Andrea Swenson; scroll down for a full slideshow from the event.)
