Bacon, Egg and Cheese for Kenny Bermudez Day

Monday, August 17, Strawberry Place, 72 S Broadway, Nyack

Restaurants throughout Rockland County including Nyack’s Strawberry Place will donate proceeds from the sales of Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwiches. to scholarship funds in memory of Kenny Bermudez. Bermudez, a beloved son, friend, First Explorer, and gamer, who loved Bacon, Egg and Cheese, passed away in February, 2026.

Established by the North Rockland High School Class of 2028, the scholarship will be awarded to graduating Seniors.

Jazz in the Garden Summer Concert Series:  Musical Homage to John D. Anthony 

Thursday, August 20, 7-9 p.m., Edward Hopper House Museum and Study Center, 82 N Broadway, Nyack

John D. Anthony was a legendary bass-baritone whose 70-year career bridged Broadway, the Metropolitan Opera, and sacred song.

From principal roles in Hello, Dolly! and Show Boat to performing at the Kennedy Center’s grand opening, John shared his gift across the globe with over 15 symphony orchestras and on iconic TV shows like The Ed Sullivan Show.

As founder of the John Anthony Singers and a lifelong advocate for African American Spirituals, John spent his life celebrating the deep musical roots that birthed Jazz, Gospel, and Blues. Don’t miss this powerful tribute to a true American icon.

30. Their dining room will be closed for the duration of the renovation.
