Great American Cleanup in Nyack

Saturday, May 2, 9 a.m. –12 p.m., rain or shine, YMCA, 35 S Broadway, Nyack

The Rockland Ukulele Orchestra

Strum and sing with the Rockland Ukulele Orchestra for its second annual mass gathering of ukulele players. Players of all levels are invited to join us. Our goal is to have 200+ players strumming and singing together in a BIG joyful jam!

REEL Justice: A Free Social Justice Film Festival

Children’s Shakespeare Theatre Presents “The Comedy of Errors

Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9, 7 p.m, Saturday, May 9 and Saturday, May 16, 2 p.m., Palisades Presbyterian Church, 117 Washington Spring Rd, Palisades

Children’s Shakespeare Theatre brings laugh-out-loud comic energy and slapstick to Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors,” as the final production in its 2025–26 Season of Character.

A cast of sixteen young people, ages 10–14, will bring this comic cartoon of mix-ups and misunderstandings to life in four performances. Click here for tickets.

Druid Fest is organized around three movements, a triple spiral of connection to our natural world and community:

Enjoy vendors, artisans, music, and community gathering. Open to all to browse and enjoy. Ticket holders will be transported by coach — an 8-minute trip — to Nyack Beach State Park.

Here you will be transported up to the plateau (sky) where you will enjoy performances, music, eco-education, hands-on crafts, plant walks and blessings; and down to the healing space of the Boathouse on the River (sea) to interact with a living Alter, enjoy guided meditation and breathwork and pre-booked healing sessions. We will close with a fire ceremony.

Voices on the Hudson: Meghan Cary with Clara Gillett

Clara Gillett is a 19-year-old alt-pop artist based between Philadelphia and Miami, blending cinematic soundscapes and confessional lyrics—dreamy like Lana Del Rey, with the edge of The Neighbourhood. On stage, she delivers intimate, electrifying sets with stripped-back vocals, ambient tones, and honest storytelling that feels like a conversation with a friend.

Featuring a cast of four playing real-life historical figures — each with a unique perspective on how to effect change — this moving play is about courage, justice and our shared humanity.

Bill Batson’s Sketch Mob 250

Saturday, May 16 10 a.m – 1 p.m., GARNER Arts Center, 55 W Railroad Ave, Garnerville

Sketch Mob 250 will bring artists together in a striking, large-scale act of collective creation to celebrate America 250 and the 25th anniversary of GARNER Arts Festival, in the 266 year-old GARNER Historic District

Artists of all ages and skill levels will spread across the Center’s 14-acre campus, simultaneously capturing its architecture, energy, and history through their artwork.

The registration fee also gives participants entrance to the GARNER Arts Festival on May 16th. Unlike Batson’s past Sketch Mob’s, Each artwork will be digitized and mapped to its exact location using QR codes, allowing future visitors to stand where the artists stood and experience the site through their eyes—an enduring act of preservation and respect.
