Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day with local independent bookstores, who will offer up everything from book launches to readings, meet and greets, discounts, music, games, and more. Big Red Books: Events from 11 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.: story times, author meet and greets, music, a book launch (Sayantani DasGupta’s “Theft of the Ruby Lotus”), and poetry

Children’s Shakespeare Theatre Presents “The Comedy of Errors

May 8 and 9, 7:00 p.m, and May 9 and 16, 2:00 p.m., Palisades Presbyterian Church, 117 Washington Spring Rd, Palisades

Children’s Shakespeare Theatre brings laugh-out-loud comic energy and slapstick to Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors,” as the final production in its 2025–26 Season of Character.

My Lord, What a Night by Deborah Brevoort
