The Secret Garden Party

Spring cannot come soon enough…and the first Saturday of the season brings a Secret Garden Party to Nyack, NY! A group of small businesses are hosting activities for both children and adults, including: a book discussion, tea party, fairy wishing well crafting workshop, and a floral bouquet craft — all within walking distance downtown!

Co-facilitated by visual artist Lisa Levart and writer/coach Linda Ellen Kelly, this workshop invites participants to awaken their inner voice through sacred imagery and the written word.
Drawing on Levart’s Goddess on Earth Oracle deck alongside Kelly’s Write From Your Heart method, participants explore intuition, story, and self-expression through oracle readings and gentle, guided writing prompts.
The workshop creates a reflective, supportive space to uncover lived truths, deepen self-awareness, and reconnect with personal wisdom.

Rivertown Presents If I Had Legs I’d Kick You
Wednesday, March 25, 8:00 – 10:00 pm, The Nyack Center, 58 Depew Ave, Nyack
Linda, a therapist, has good reason to be at her breaking point: her living room ceiling has just caved in, necessitating a move to a cheap motel. She is the mother of a child who refuses to eat and must be sustained by a feeding tube. Her husband, who undermines her, is a cruise captain on a monthslong trip. She has a patient whose delusions about her baby are very concerning, and Linda’s own therapist seems to hate her.
Who wouldn’t be on the verge?
Brilliantly portrayed by Rose Byrne, an Oscar nominee for her performance, Linda’s choices grow increasingly horrible and irresponsible as she suffers one setback after another. The spot on, disquieting sound design of the film emphasizes Rose’s suffocation. The movie turns a mother’s anxiety into an almost supernatural force.
Doors to the Nyack Center open at 7:30pm, and the film begins at 8:00pm.
