The Book of Will Opens at Elmwood Playhouse

Grab your seat for The Book of Will at Elmwood Playhouse. In this heartfelt drama, which takes place after Shakespeare’s death, his friends take on the nearly impossible task of gathering and preserving his works before they’re lost forever.
On Friday, March 13, Elmwood will host an opening night pre-show gallery reception featuring the work of the Nyack Art Collective. Complimentary wine, soft drinks, and bites from local gourmet shop Scott & Joe will be served from 6:30 to 7:00pm, before the show.

Art Reception for Celebrating A Community Vision: Hopper’s Nyack Sketch Mob Exhibition

Experience the vibrant, collaborative spirit of Nyack through Hopper’s Nyack Sketch Mob, two public art outings created and organized by NyackNewsAndView’s own Bill Batson, a dedicated exhibition featuring more than 40 drawings and paintings. The works capture Nyack’s streetscapes, landmarks, and neighborhood scenes, showcasing art created by participants of all ages and skill levels during the Edward Hopper House Museum’s 2024 and 2025 Plein Air events.
Also, on Sunday, April 26, 1:30 to 3:00pm attend a talk about the increasing poplar practice of public artmaking entitled: Public Sketching: Hopper’s Sketch Mob and Urban Sketchers – How Art Making Becomes Community Building,” in the Nyack Library’s Community Room.

11th Annual New York Fathering Conference

Nyack Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bill Batson and two other Rocklanders, filmmaker Shaunqui Harris and social worker Saul Martinez will participate in an afternoon breakout session which will explore the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of spending time in nature. Zoe Friedberg, owner of Little Gem Farm, will discuss sustainable agriculture, CSA programs, and eating local.
Little Gem Farm is a small-scale diversified vegetable and flower farm on the fertile black dirt in Chester, NY. Since 2023, Zoe has been growing high quality, diverse, and sustainably grown produce for her community in the Lower Hudson Valley.
As a child, Zoe attended the Nyack Farmers Market where she has been a popular vendor since 2023. Little Gem Farm will be back at the Nyack Farmers Market in May and throughout the season with garden seedlings, fresh vegetables, and pesticide-free flowers.
