Phoenix Festival Live Arts in Nyack presents Sugar Ray

Friday, October 3, 7:00pm, The Angel Nyack, 18 S Broadway, Nyack

Garage Sale at Perry Home

Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, 9:00am – 4:00pm, 319 N Broadway, Nyack

Used carpentry and garden tools are part of the items available at a home that had nurtured 9 generations of Perrys, the only family to ever live at the location. Many will remember the elaborate Halloween decorations at the home that delighted trick or treaters for 50 years. Nyack Arts & Crafts Walk 

Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, 10:00am – 5:00pm, Downtown Nyack & Memorial Park

Experience Trade & Prosper’s first Arts & Crafts Walk featuring Nyack’s unique shopping and dinning, with pop-up markets, art exhibits and live music.

Explore two pop-up markets with 50+ curated handmade and small-batch brands featuring one-of-a-kind creations in Easter Square at Main and Cedar Street and  Memorial Park and Depew and Piermont Avenue.

Visit participating local shops, galleries, bars, and restaurants who are joining in the celebration of arts and crafts with special events and exclusive offers.

No Kings Day: 2.0

Organizers estimate 10 million participants. This protest follows the first “No Kings” protest, which was held in June 2025 and drew millions of participants.

Spring Valley NAACP’s 70th Annual Freedom Fund Gala

Saturday, October 18, 12:00 – 4:00pm, Crowne Plaza Suffern, 3 Executive Blvd, Suffern

Nyack News And View’s own Bill Batson will receive the Virginia Atkins Beasley Lifetime Achievement Award. Other honorees include:

* June Van Dunk, (Unsung hero award)

* Proyecto Faro (Social Justice Leadership Award),

* Rev Theresa Darden and the Upper Room House of Worship (the Humanitarian Award)

* The Martin Luther King Multi-Purpose Center (community service award)

The event’s keynote speaker is Dr. Betty A Rosa, the New York State Commissioner of Education will be the guest speaker. Dr. Rosa is also the President of the University of the State of New York and the first Latina woman to serve in the position.
