9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit

Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11, Nyack Marina Lot, 1 Burd St, Nyack

The 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit is a tribute to all who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, including the 343 members of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) who made the ultimate sacrifice, and all who continue to lose their lives to 9/11-related illnesses. This high-tech, 83-foot tractor-trailer, which transforms into an 1,100 square foot exhibit, is a tool to further educate people across the country about the events of that tragic day.

Welcomed around the nation, from the Black Hills of South Dakota to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds, the memorial provides interactive education; including artifacts such as steel beams from the towers, documentary videos, and recordings of first responder radio transmissions. Interactive guided tours are carried out by FDNY firefighters who provide firsthand accounts of the day and its aftermath. The 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit, which has traveled to nearly 50 states and Canada, has educated over 1 million people to date. Click here to learn more.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Nyack Center @ 7:00pm)

The Drilling Company is excited to announce the Phoenix festival’s Nyack return of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot, featuring a vibrant and accessible production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, fresh from their 30th anniversary run on the LES of Manhattan.

Set against the backdrop of a modern-day Lower East Side, this innovative and bare-bones adaptation breathes new life into the classic tale. Led by artistic director Hamilton Clancy, the core company actors and designers honed over decades, invite audiences to experience Shakespeare’s original text in an engaging and refreshing format.

“For nearly 30 years, Shakespeare in the Parking Lot has transformed public spaces on the Lower East Side into stages for offbeat, yet authentic adaptations of classic works,” said Clancy. “We’re thrilled to extend our reach to Nyack, making Shakespeare accessible and enjoyable for everyone in the community.”
