French flags flapped along Piermont Avenue and Can Can girls danced in the street, while a guillotine was on display (a wooden one) as the village of Piermont celebrated French independence with a reenactment of the storming of the Bastille. The celebration filled the street with live music and the aromas of traditional French, Italian, Continental, Mexican, Irish and American cuisine served by local restaurants.

Of course — voila! — our rebelliously fantastic photographer Andrea Swenson was there to snap all the francophilian fun in our latest Photo Shoot! (Scroll down for more photos and a full slideshow)
