Music on the Hudson’s Tuesday music series continued rolling down the river with the Swingtime Big Band (a 22-piece jazz band), which played to hundreds of local music fans and families on July 22. (The series, which is run in conjunction with ArtsRock, concludes with a Pink Floyd tribute on Tuesday, July 29.)
Conducted by Steve Shaiman, with Bobbie Ruth and Zack Alexander on vocals, the night featured music by Glenn Miller and Count Basie as a special veterans’ “Thank You” show, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. The show was run in conjunction with the local nonprofit ArtsRock.
Our swingingly cool cat photographer Andrea Swenson was on deck to capture the scenes by the river in our latest Photo Shoot! (Scroll down for more photos and a full slideshow)
