After getting rained out on Saturday, River Hook’s annual Arbor Day celebration was a full go — or should we say, “goat” — on Sunday, April 27. The event featured a new sculpture for the public grounds, new trees, new poetry (by Anupama Amaran), a Haring House Open House, a Boy Scout environmental project, and special guests – the Summit School goats.
Fortunately, our own GOAT (Greatest of All Time) photographer Andrea Swenson was there to document all the tree-hugging, goat-loving, poetry-reading activity in our latest edition of Photo Shoot! (Scroll down for more photos and full slideshow)
Poet Anupama Amaran read new works for the event.
