Phoenix Ensemble Theater festival is underway
The 2024 Phoenix Festival has arrived offering 13 live theatrical performances in 11 days running through September 22, and offering joy to audiences of all ages. The Festival also offers a spotlight for local Nyack nonprofits, along with opportunities for students and volunteers to get up-close and hands-on with live performance.
Friday, September 13 – 7:00pm features an evening with Sara Farrington, a conversation with Sara and a panel of theatre makers at Story Space Arts – Studio 101, 48 Burd Street, Nyack NY
Farrington is a NYC & NJ based playwright, screenwriter, and co-founder of her theater company Foxy Films, who prides herself on her playwriting range and likes to think she can write a play out of anything.
A Trojan Woman, written by Sara Farrington and directed by Meghan Finn will be performed by Madelyn Robinson this Saturday, September 14 at 3:00pm at the Nyack Center.

Rockland Ukulele Orchestra
The Angel Nyack and Music for Life present the Rockland Ukulele Orchestra.

Jazz Festival Free Concert
There will be a free outdoor concert on North Broadway in front of Maureen’s Jazz Cellar on Sunday, September 15 from 1:00 – 6:00pm.

The Steel Man
Penguin Rep Theatre presents the world premiere of The Steel Man, a play by Cary Gitter, directed by Joe Brancato. Penguin Rep is located at 7 Crickettown Road, P.O. Box 91, Stony Point, NY.
The play tells the story of an aspiring actor who struggles to escape from the shadow of his larger-than-life father, a Hungarian Jewish Holocaust survivor.
