Led by Choreographer and Artistic Director Shawn Rawls (Alvin Ailey, Roxey Ballet) this live performance melds contemporary dance with solo violin to traverse the lonely and punishing landscape of speaking your truth. Rawls combines theater and dance to tell thought-provoking stories that expand imagination and empathy.

The Park Bench Plays by Nomad Theatrical Company

A series of poignant, funny, and human plays performed by Nomad’s critically acclaimed acting company outdoors in beautiful Memorial Park.

Sing Sing at Rivertown Film
Divine G, imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn’t commit, finds purpose by acting in a theatre group alongside other incarcerated men in this stirring true story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art, starring an unforgettable ensemble cast of formerly incarcerated actors.
Discussion after the film with Charles Moore, Director of Programs and Operations at Rehabilitation Through the Arts (RTA) the program at Sing Sing and other prisons on which the film is based.

The Steel Man
Penguin Rep Theatre presents the world premiere of The Steel Man, a play by Cary Gitter, directed by Joe Brancato. Penguin Rep is located at 7 Crickettown Road, P.O. Box 91, Stony Point, NY.
The play tells the story of an aspiring actor who struggles to escape from the shadow of his larger-than-life father, a Hungarian Jewish Holocaust survivor.
