On a recent Tuesday night on the upper section of Nyack’s Memorial Park, people got their groove on to Grateful Dead tribute band Dead Meat.
Good vibes, inevitably, ensued.
Dead Meat, a popular local outfit that also frequents Maureen’s on its popular Dead nights, was the third band featured in the Nyack Park Conservancy’s four-part Music in the Park series, which wrapped up with reggae band I Anbassa & The Word Sound Power Movement (which has also played Maureen’s) earlier this week on July 30.
We couldn’t make it to all of the shows, but our radically mellow and totally chilled out photographer Andrea Swenson was there to catch the Dead Meat soul train as it rippled around Memorial Park. Enjoy!
