Unity. Peace. Harmony. These were the themes fueling the 14th annual African American parade in downtown Nyack on Saturday, June 1. This year’s parade featured grand marshals Dr. Dana Stilly, James Marshall and the family of Jared Lloyd, a Spring Valley firefighter who died tragically in the line of duty back in 2021. If you couldn’t make it or want to see a gorgeous highlight reel, our photographer and parade polymath Andrea Swenson was on hand to document all the festivities. Enjoy!
