Weekly Rec: Elmwood Community Playhouse Hosts Blood Drive, Presents Dracula

A few days before Elmwood presents “Dracula,” the community playhouse will team up with New York Blood Center for The Dracula Blood Drive on Tuesday September 5 from noon to six at Elmwood Playhouse 10 Park Street in Nyack.

The blood drive takes place days before the Elmwood presents Dracula written by By Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston and directed by Michael Edan.

“Although the drama is fiction, the need for blood is real. Blood is always needed, but the holiday weekend at the end of summer puts an extra strain on the area’s blood supply,” according to Elmwood’s website.

Donors get $10 off a ticket to Dracula and will be entered in a drawing to win a FREE ticket to every show in the season! Pop-up drawings for fun prizes are planned throughout the day,

Dracula runs September 8 through October 7 Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m.with a Thursday night performance on October 5 at 8 p.m.
