
Annual African American Day Parade and Festival
The 13th Annual African American Day Parade and Festival in Nyack takes place on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Parade Marshalls Grand Marshalls are Wilbur Aldridge, Willie Trotman and Tyrone McNeill
The parade starts and ends in Memorial Park. The parade route is as follows: Memorial Park traveling west on Depew Ave, right onto Franklin St, right onto Main St, right onto S. Broadway and left at Depew Ave, back to the Memorial Park. Parade kicks off at 12pm and is immediately followed by a day of festivities in Memorial Park.
The fun continues in Memorial Park into the evening with a live DJ at 7:30pm, followed by a movie in the park sponsored by OCADA. “Shrek” will begin at dusk. Bring your chairs and blankets!
Hopper House Honors Harriet Cornell
Rockland County Legislator Harriet Cornell is one of the honorees at the Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center’s Spring Benefit Garden Party on Sunday, June 4. The event features jazz, rhythm & blues by the Ahlfabet Swing Group led by Albert Ahlf.
