Reporters & Editors
We’re hiring reporters and editors to help us cover more of the stories that matter to our communities — in Nyack and throughout Rockland County. Do you have a background in local news, public relations, or marketing and communications? Do you have a passion for sharing stories that connect and inform your local community? We want to hear from you!
Strong candidates will possess some or all of the following skills and experiences:
- Journalism training and experience in local news
- Experience with multimedia production, including photo, video, and audio
- Community organizing and leadership in Rockland County or elsewhere
- Social media management
- Copy editing
- Digital communications & marketing, including web, social media, and email
These are flexible part-time roles, from 3-30 hours per week. Most require some in-person time in Rockland County. Payment is determined on a per article fee, or at $25-$45 per hour for ongoing engagements.

WordPress developer
We’re seeking a WordPress developer to help us manage and grow our web properties — from developing new features and functionality to managing our hosting environment and platform integrations.
The ideal candidate will join our team as a technology partner, helping to manage platforms and to develop new features and functionality for nyacknewsandviews.com. An ability to support and advance our visual design is a plus.
This is a flexible, part-time role, from 3-15 hours per week, and can be done from anywhere in the world. Pay for the this role is $25-$45 per hour.

We’re seeking a lead visual designer to help Nyack News & View evolve our visual identity, produce custom graphics, and manage our photography.
The ideal candidate will join our team as a design and photography leader, helping us to sharpen our visual presence across all platforms and developing design systems that strengthen all of our stories and platforms.
