Weekly Recommendations: RoCA’s Affordable Art & Pottery Bazaar

Looking for a piece of unique art or pottery for a fabulous holiday gift for friends and family?

Just in time for holiday gift giving, Rockland Center for the Arts (RoCA) is holding its annual Affordable Art & Pottery Bazaar featuring regional artisans and their wares.

The Affordable Art & Pottery Bazaar opens on Sat, Dec 4 and continues through Thurs, Dec 23, 2021 with beautiful hand-crafted jewelry, ceramics ready for home use, paintings, holiday ornaments, and more. This holiday give something memorable that will last and increase in value with time. Shop for a one-of-a-kind holiday gift that directly supports local arts. The sale is open Mon through Sat from 11a-4p, and is closed on Sun.

This year’s artists include:  Alice Mizrachi, Art Gunther, Asta Bubliene, Barbara Chen, Barbara Polkovitch, Don Bradford, Eleanor Miller, Elena Krimchansky, Jim Shaughnessy, Joan Knauer, Joyce Kanyuk, Karen Edelman, Karen Galloway, Kate Poland Hetman, Lisa Medoff, Marlo Richards, Margery Theroux, Masako Birmingham, Robin Kline, Ronni Howard, Ruth Carlsen, Sue Barrasi, Susan Strange and more.

Masks and social distancing are required.

If you want to try your hand at creating your own gift for that special someone, drop by RoCA and Design Your Own Power Pendant on Sat, Dec 11, 2021 from 12-3p. “Power Pendants” are a unique collection of charms, stones, symbols and icons associated with personal empowerment. Participants can mix and match vintage charms and chains to create a personalized charm necklace for themselves or as a thoughtful holiday gift. Materials are limited. First come, first served. $25 includes a chain, two charms and a wire wrapped bead.
