The Villages: Free Trees

This week in the villages: This is your chance to beautify your property… for free! The Village of Nyack is offering free trees to residents who have adequate space in their yards near the sidewalk and street. And don’t forget that the New York State Bag Waste Reduction Law started yesterday. You can help by bringing your own reusable bags to shop.

Free Trees for Front Yards

In many places along Nyack streets there is not enough room for trees along the sidewalk or under the power lines. The Village of Nyack’s Front Yard Tree Planting Program offers free trees to qualifying residents with yards that have adequate space for healthy trees to grow near the sidewalk and street. More information on this program may be found at nyack-ny.gov.
