The staff of Montefiore Nyack Hospital has been preparing for the surge in patients during the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. This is a difficult time for everyone, but it is especially stressful for our dedicated doctors, nurses and staff, who are on the front lines working long hours every day in the fight to protect us and save lives. These medical professionals have been touched by the many kind gestures from those in the community who have sent notes of gratitude, shared cookies, baked goods and other treats.
Chris Spezial, Program Director at the RCC Hospitality & Culinary Arts Center in Nyack, has generously offered to help coordinate these “sweets and treats” gestures from the community. To comply with infection prevention protocols, all donated food items must be professional food service and individually wrapped. We cannot accept home-baked goodies.
On behalf of Montefiore Nyack, thank you in advance for supporting us and sending these items along to Chris, who everyone remembers from Nyack Gourmet. And thank you to Chris for his generous efforts to coordinate food donations on behalf of the Nyack Center families whose lives have been turned upside down by the COVID-19 pandemic and who need extra support in these uncertain times.
Nyack is an exceptional community every day, but it is at times like these when all of us are challenged that we show how exceptional we really are.
To schedule a drop off at the RCC Culinary Arts Center, 5 North Broadway, call email Chris Spezial at cspezial@SunyRockland.edu or call 845-875-7572.
Please note: To comply with infection prevention protocols, all donated food items must be professional food service and individually wrapped. We cannot accept home-baked goods.
