On Sun, Nov 17 at 4p, the Grace Church Choir, led by choirmaster and organist Brandon Beachamp, presents Revelation, a program of music that explores themes of transformation, time, and eternity.
The choir will sing a set of spirituals, an early-American shape-note piece, and works by Morten Lauridsen, Edgar Bainton, and H. Balfour Gardiner. The concert also features cellist Evelyn Wadkins performing “Louange a l’ é ternité de Jé sus” from Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time, and organist Cleveland Kersh, who will perform Arvo Part’s moving Annum per annum.
In addition to choral and organ pieces, the concert will feature cellist Evelyn Wadkins performing “Louange a l’Eternite de Jesus” from Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time.
A meet-the-artists reception will follow the concert.
