The Villages: Halloween Festivities Begin

This week in the villages: Things are getting spooky around town. The ghouls and goblins participating in the annual Nyack Halloween parade will take over village streets on Saturday starting at 5:30p. Scarier, it will be tough for motorists to get around this week, as continued roadwork and signage improvements require lane closures and an overnight closure of the Thruway exit 10 southbound on-ramp. River Hook Park opens to the public. Upper Nyack and the Town of Orangetown are holding public hearings. It’s leaf season, so be sure to follow your locale’s rules for leaf removal.
