This week in the villages: Learn about free and low cost programs to make your home more energy efficient with a special Nyack Library workshop. Drivers get tricks not treats, as continued roadwork necessitates overnight lane and ramp closures. The Nyack Tree Project is looking for volunteers to help plant trees. And if you know who you’re voting for, why not vote early?

Energy-Saver Workshop for Renters and Owners
On Mon, October 28 at 6:30p at the Nyack Library, join your neighbors at an Energy-Saver Workshop on free and low cost home energy efficiency programs. The workshop will help residents, small businesses, renters, and owners understand their options for home energy audits and other programs, and get follow up help too. Home energy audits are free, so there is nothing to lose. Anyone who owns a house or rents an apartment and pays a utility bill can learn about programs suitable for them. Free and open to the public. For more information and to register, contact Nyack Sustainability Coordinator Marcy Denker mbdenker@gmail.com.
