The Villages: New HudsonLink Schedule

This week in the villages: Big commuting news: HudsonLink has rolled out a revised schedule. The Village of Nyack wants to build another bridge near the Hudson. Work on the Shared Use Path of the Mario Cuomo Tappan Zee Bridge will require Saturday construction in South Nyack.

HudsonLink’s New Schedule Starts Today

The ten month old bus line that connects Rockland County commuters with Metro North train stations in Tarrytown and White Plains rolls out a new schedule today. And we have an app for that.
The revised HudsonLinkNyack.com (or if you prefer it’s original name, tzxbus.com) includes the updated HudsonLink schedule for the H07 line, as well as a new interface that shows all of the trains that connect with each bus to Tarrytown. For your return commute, HudsonLinkNyack shows all of the buses that meet each train.  Total minutes of transit for the entire trip as well as each bus or train segment are also included.
The new schedule extends the H07 route to the Spring Valley Train station and the the Nanuet Park & Ride. HudsonLink says the revised schedule syncs the arrival and departure of more buses with Metro North trains and adds extra service later in the evening, too.

Saturday Construction

Some construction activities for the new Shared Use Path will now take place on Saturdays. Residents can expect to hear some noise as a result of the work, which will only occur during the day. The initial Saturday work will include construction activities in the area near the South Broadway bridge for the drilling of piles that will help support the path’s underpass and nearby highway noise walls. The contractor will continue to employ appropriate safety measures, such as flaggers and signage, to ensure public safety and a smooth traffic flow in the village.
I apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and patience. I look forward to the completion of this big project and to enjoying the beautiful views of the Hudson River from the Shared Use Path. — Mayor Bonnie Christian
