Duo Lada Comes to GraceMusic

On Sunday, February 10 at 4p, GraceMusic will present Duo Lada (violinist Blagomira Lipari and pianist Elaina Burns) as they perform Brahms’ Violin Sonata No. 1, Debussy’s Sonata for Violin & Piano, Mark Olivieri’s Music for a Superhero, and other works.
Blagomira Lipari is a versatile solo, chamber, and orchestral musician. She was a preliminary 2018 Grammy Award nominee for Contemporary Classical recording for the CD Music Here and Now by Society for New Music, Innova Records of American Composers Forum. Ms. Lipari holds a Doctoral degree in violin performance with a minor in orchestral conducting and is on the faculty and directs the string ensemble at Hobart & William Smith Colleges.
Elaina Burns is an active soloist, chamber musician, and teacher based in Pearl River, New York. A registered yoga teacher and member of the Performing Arts Medicine Association, her primary area of research is the impact of meditation and mind-body alignment on performing artists. Burns is founder and director of Resonance: Mind-Body-Music, a piano and yoga studio dedicated to the creative and healing arts. She is recognized internationally for the delicacy of her touch and for her work in piano performance and pedagogy.
Tickets to Duo Lada are available online at www.gracemusicnyack.com and at the door: $20 adults, $15 seniors, $5 students;  children 12 and under are free.
