GraceMusic Opens Its 49th Season with Sound the Trumpet!

On Sunday, October 21 at 4p, GraceMusic opens its 49th season with a high-energy trumpet ensemble performing a diverse and exciting program of works  covering the Baroque, Romantic and Modern genres. All members play with the U. S. Military Academy Band at West Point and all hold positions in major performing groups in New York.  Several live here in the Hudson Valley. Trumpeters Matt Anderson, Carl Stanley, Gillian Huff, Daniel Haddock, and Joshua Economy will be joined by accompanist Yalin Chi. Their program will include pieces by Benjamin Britten, George Antheil, and Joan Tower’s  “Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman,” plus  some up-tempo surprises.
Tickets to Sound the Trumpet! are available online at www.gracemusicnyack.com and at the door: $20 adults, $15 seniors, $5 students;  children 12 and under are free. Grace Episcopal Church, 130 First Ave, Nyack, NY.
