Nyack, May 29 — Because of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 28, regular residential trash pick up in the Village of Nyack moves to Tuesday, May 29, 2018.
Tired of reading all of this trash? Hold on: there’s garbage news coming!

  • Friday, June 1, 2018 is the First Friday of the Month – Bulk Pick-Up Day. Mattresses must be wrapped in plastic, disposal bags are available at the Village of Nyack DPW.
  • Beginning June 7, recycling will be picked every Thursday. This new schedule replaces the twice a month on Wednesday pickup that currently serves Village of Nyack residents.
  • Please remember that there’s no place in out trash stream for hazardous waste (chemicals, paints, etc.) and Ewaste (TV’s, computers, etc.). These items must be brought to the Rockland County Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Facility in Pomona, 845-364-2444 for more information.

Please note that the DPW’s for the Village of Upper Nyack and the Village of South Nyack operate on different schedules for pickup of trash, recycling and bulk pick up items. Please check each village’s respective website for pickup information.
