The Villages: Lane Closures and Outdoor Market

This week in the villages: It may be snowing, but this is the week that the Nyack Farmers’ Market moves outdoors. Northbound lane closures in Westchester will make commuting a challenge.  There’s still time to give your input to make the streets safe for everyone.

Nyack Farmers’ Market

The Nyack Farmers’ Market moves back to the great, albeit paved, outdoors this week in the main municipal parking lot. Visit some of the greatest vendors in the region who come together to bring you locally produced food, featuring fresh, delicious produce, baked goods, sweet somethings and other great items. Local artist and crafts people offer unique gifts. Every Thursday from 8a to 2p with free parking in the Artopee lot during market hours.

Overnight Lane Closures in Tarrytown
Tappan Zee Constructors (TZC) is scheduled to begin preparation work next week to remove roadway sections of the northbound New York State Thruway near the bridge’s Westchester landing. The work is intended to allow installation of new precast concrete slabs in the coming weeks. It will create a new base roadway for the twin-span crossing’s connection to the Thruway when the second span opens later this year. The overnight work will require multiple lane closures on the northbound Thruway near the bridge’s Westchester landing. At least one lane will remain open at all times. Specific lane closure times are listed in the chart below.
