Nyack Weekender: Have an EGGcellent Easter!

It´s a great Easter weekend filled with candy, family and faith. Do the bunny-hop and have fun at one of the Easter Egg Hunts in Rockland County. In the evening get a good laugh with Gary Owen or Nick Di Paolo or enjoy classical Jazz with Richard Sussman.

Friday

  • Rockland County Jazz and Blues Society and Maureen’s Jazz Cellar present Richard Sussman and special guest, Rich Perry. Enjoy a performance of interpretations of jazz standards, as well as his own uniquely original compositions and the original music of jazz piano legend Hank Jones. 8p and 9:30p, 2 N Broadway, Nyack.
  • Gary Owen one of the stars of the screen comedy “Think Like A Man Too,” brings his standup act to Levity Live. 7:30p and 9:45p, 4210 Palisades Center Dr. A-401, West Nyack.

Saturday

You are never too old for an Easter Egg Hunt. Bring your baskets and have fun.
  • Attend the annual Easter Egg Hunt of the Rockland Boulders Baseball Team. As always you can ride the “B” train and have your photo taken with the Easter bunny. 9a, Palisades Credit Union Park, Pomona.
  • Kids can meet the Easter bunny and his team for photos in the West Court of the Palisades Center. 11a, 1000 Palisades Center Dr, West Nyack.
  • Local baseball author Mark Newman is signing and speaking about his newest best-selling baseball book Diamonds from the Dugout. 2p, Barnes & Noble, 140 Rockland Plaza, Nanuet.
  • Enjoy a good laugh with Nick Di Paolo and his “The Nick is Right Tour.” 8p, Tarrytown Music Hall, 13 Main St, Tarrytown.

Sunday

  • The Living Christ Church is hosting their first annual Easter Egg Hunt. A fun place for families to spend an hour on Easter Sunday morning. 9:30a, 151 S Broadway, Nyack.
  • Teen Poetry Contest, a great way to start celebrating National Poetry Month this April. 12a, Greenburgh Public Library, 300 Tarrytown Rd, Elmsford.
