Nyack Farmers Market, Trash, Traffic, and the TZx
It’s the day before Thanksgiving. Time to cook or to gird yourself for the busiest travel day of the year.
Because Thursday is a holiday, trash will get picked up today in the Village of Nyack. In South Nyack, regular Thursday recycling will be on Friday.
The Nyack Farmer’s Market makes a rare Wed appearance today — because tomorrow is a holiday. For farm to table fans, this is a dream come true: Farm fresh today for your thanksgiving feast tomorrow! (FYI, the Thursday Farmer’s Market goes indoor and under cover beginning next week).

- Nyack Village Hall is closed
- TZx buses will not run

On Wednesday, November 22, take flight like a turkey (yes, they do fly when they aren’t being cooked) on one of our early getaway trains, which begin departing Grand Central Terminal at around 1 PM. Because of reduced ridership, some evening trains may be cancelled or combined. See a regular timetable for details. On Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 23, we will operate a modified weekend schedule with additional inbound trains for those of you heading to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Holiday Parade. On the Day After Thanksgiving, Friday, November 24, a Saturday schedule will be in effect with additional AM inbound and PM outbound trains, so you can take advantage of all those Black Friday sales or simply enjoy all of the holiday decorations.
