Exciting things are happening at Nyack Hospital — and not of the dramatic surgical nature.
This Thursday, at 6:30p, the hospital will host an educational forum on the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment Program (DSRIP), which is a statewide initiative to transform and improve healthcare in New York State. DSRIP addresses initiatives designed to reduce hospitalizations, improve access to disease management programs and preventative services, and to encourage community involvement in health and wellness through integrated healthcare systems. Nyack Hospital is benefiting from DSRIP such as with the renovation of the Hospital’s Emergency Department and addition of a “medical village.” Guest speakers Damara Gutnick (MD, Medical Director, Montefiore Hudson Valley DSRIP Collaborative), Adam Goldstein (Associate Director, Montefiore Health System), and Marlene Ripa (Director System Transformation, Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative) will talk about the system and answer questions in the hospital’s Krutz Auditorium.
This month also marks Breast Cancer Awareness month at Nyack Hospital. And as a part of a new website, the hospital has launched a “Feel Empowered” Breast Health Awareness campaign (https://www.nyackhospital.org/yourbreasthealth), which allows users to “Send a Reminder” to “Remind a Friend” to get a mammogram.
“Nyack Hospital’s website is a crucial communication channel for marketing to current and potential patients, visitors and the community. The website’s innovative design includes an intuitive architectural structure with tools that make navigating a complex site easy for Nyack Hospital’s diverse audience,” said Melissa Behrens Lipovsky, Vice-President and Creative Director, The Byne Group. The redesign updated the hospital website’s mobile experience such that visitors can easily find the information they often need, including: Contact Us, Visiting Hours and Guidelines, Directions and Find a Physician. “Its user-friendly design, whether accessed via computer or mobile device, is optimized to build and establish trust.”
