Orangetown Alert: Rt 340 Roadwork Through July 29

If you are driving past St Aquinas College on Route 340 between Route 303 and Kings Highway, be prepared to go slow weekdays from 9a-4p. The NYS Department of Transportation (NYS DOT) warns that road crews will be performing utility work through July 29.
They’ll be a detour for eastbound traffic.  Westbound? Just try not to rubberneck.
The DOT reminds drivers that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
