Nothing says Spring like the first Street Fair of 2015. SpringFest in Nyack is set for Sunday, April 12 from 10a-5p, rain or shine.
Families and fun-seekers can shop 300 vendors offering fine crafts, jewelry, art, photography, collectibles, antiques, quality handmade crafts, unique gifts and much more. The fair also features live entertainment, live music and street performers — plus great food, outdoor dining and special offerings from Nyack merchants.
Music Students Rock SpringFest
Hey, hey, my, my, these teens are living proof that Rock n’ Roll will never die. Come to Sunday’s Street Fair to hear The Erie Street Band, the official ensemble of Orangetown’s School of Rock.
School of Rock teaches guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards, drums and combines weekly private music lessons and group band rehearsals to prepare students to take the stage in front of live audiences in an authentic concert setting.
The School of Rock is offering six different weekly summer camp programs running from July 13 thorough August 21. Visit Orangeburg.SchoolOfRock.com for more information.
All eyes..and ears..will be trained on the stage as the School of Rock presents their house ensemble, The Erie Street Band. These teen and tween rock stars-in-training will play a set that includes everything from the Stones to Metallica. The program of live, local music that the young rockers will headline will be staged at the Main St. Gazebo from 11a-5p.
There’s fun for the youngest Street Fair visitors too with kids’ games and bouncy houses in the Main Street parking lot. A Kids Happy Hour from 10a-11a offers half price amusements at an all new amusement area featuring carnival games, rides, bouncies and an inflatable climbing wall.
Springfest is sponsored by the Nyack Chamber of Commerce. “For 29 years, this fair has marked the beginning of the warm season’s vibrant, outdoor cultural life in Nyack,” says Nyack Chamber President Scott Baird.
