A Photo & Essay Contest for The Arbor Avid

by Marcy Denker

Is there a tree in the Nyack’s that means a lot to you? Share it with the community online for Arbor Day.

Nyack’s Tree Committee is hosting an Arbor Day contest honoring local trees in pictures and words. Share a photo of a tree you find especially grand or interesting and tell us why the tree is special in a brief statement.

Images and messages will be added to a photo gallery and tagged on a map on the Village of Nyack website. You can even use a smart phone to upload your photos Nyack-NY.gov/trees. Photos from another season are eligible too.

Come to Memorial Park on April 25 at 11a at the stump of the old elm tree to see and hear the winning entries. Prizes from local business will be announced on the website in early April. Submissions will be accepted until Monday, April 20.
