- Carnegie Concert Series presents Bach’s Complete Keyboard Works performed by pianist Mei-Ting Sun. The program features part 2 of the Well-Tempered Clavier. 7:30-9:30p at Nyack Library, 59 S. Broadway.
- Poetry Slam presented by Suffern Slam Society at 6:30p at Case Del Sol, 104 Main St, Nyack.
- Tibetan Home of Hope 8th Annual Benefit features radio personality Elliot Forrest, performances by electro-acoustic violist Martha Mooke, Tibetan folk musician Techung, multi-instrumentalist Jesse Paris Smith, and Australian-based Tibetan musician Tenzin Choegyal. - Edward Hopper House presents paintings and drawings by Philip Koch. The artist’s work includes large, vibrant landscape paintings as well as oils and charcoal drawings of the interiors of both Edward Hopper’s Truro, MA, studio and of Hopper’s Nyack home. 5-7p, at Edward Hopper House, 85 North Broadway. Exhibit runs through April 12.
Sunday
- Free jazz concert and workshop organized by the Rockland Jazz & Blues Society with The Scott Wendholt Quartet featuring Scott Wendholt on trumpet, Adam Kolker on sax, Ugonna Okegwo on bass and Victor Lewis on drums. Artists educate audiences through demonstration and participation. 1-3p at Nyack Library, 59 S. Broadway.
- Opening for Nature Inc, an exhibit of artists that incorporate (Inc) their profound affinity for nature with their drive to create art. Opening postponed last weekend due to snow. Opening 2-5p, exhibit on view through April 12. Rockland Center for the Arts, 27 S. Greenbush Rd, West Nyack.
- Blarney Stew, a group of seasoned musicians play acoustic instruments and perform a mix of Irish crowd-pleasers, traditional Celtic music and reinterpreted country classics. 2p at Valley Cottage Library, 110 New York 303, Valley Cottage.
- The Rockland County Concert Band plays the best music of Disney, showcasing music from Frozen, The Little Mermaid, The Incredibles and more! 3-4:30p at Green Meadow Waldorf School, 307 Hungry Hollow Rd, Chestnut Ridge.
