Throughout my 28 years in business here in Nyack, I have been active in the local community, continuously supporting our nonprofit organizations and their works in so many fields.
Just recently, for example, I have joined with the Rockland Community Foundation in establishing a Scholarship Fund that, using a need-based criteria, will recognize graduating female high school students. At our shops, our core customers continually recognize that unwavering commitment to community, as well as our support of other small businesses demonstrated by my longtime efforts in featuring merchandise from suppliers with ethical, eco-friendly practices. These efforts are becoming more formalized with the launch of the MariaLuisa/GlobalLocal Initiative, which expands our support of sustainable companies and artists and partners it with our commitment to raising funds for local nonprofits. Winning the Mission Main Street grant would provide us with the funds to secure the proper technology and tools to increase our customer reach, thus increasing our giving potential. Giving back is key.

New Fronteras: Counseling, Psychotherapy, & Behavioral Consulting Services
[/column]
[column size=”one-half” last=”true”]NewFronteras.net[/column]
We are a community based organization which provides behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and human service organizations. Overall, there is a lack of outpatient behavioral health services in Rockland County. In addition, many of the current service providers or organizations available do not accept insurance, do not offer services in Spanish, lack cultural competence, and/or lack the professional staff to comprehensively address the sometimes complex presenting issues of those seeking services. We wanted and have successfully filled that need by providing quality and evidenced based services to the Rockland County community. Your vote will help us compete for a grant that would allow us to expand and improve our services by providing us with the necessary infrastructure, psychological materials, equipment, software, and ability to create jobs to support that growth.
