O&R To Nyack: Dig We Must

orangeandrocklandutilityNyack, May 5 — Spring is a great time to rip up roads that were already scarred by one of the worst winter’s in memory. At least that’s what O&R is hoping Nyack residents who live on North Broadway, 2nd-4th & 6th Avenues  and six other streets feel about gas main replacement work that begins today.

The $1.3-million project is designed to modernize Nyack’s gas system to make it more reliable and frost resistant. The work will be performed on Broadway from First Ave northward to just north of Tallman Ave.

This phase of the project will replace about 12,000 feet of original gas main and services. Work will be performed from Mon-Fri 7a-4p and will continue through October, 2014.
