Plastics Could Bag the Planet

Rockland Youth Environment Society presents their first environmental Green Screen Film Festival on Saturday, March 22 at 2p in the Nyack Library community room. The event is free!

Bag It, a funny, educatonal film about the complexities of the role of plastics in our world will be screened. The film explores what we can do to reduce the negative impact of plastics on our waterways, oceans, and bodies. There will be a discussion following the film.

Rockland Yes will launch a Ban the Plastic Bag campaign and will have reusable bags for sale. In February, Hawaii became the first state to ban plastic bags.

You can also sign up for their clean up events in April and May as YES partners with Keep Riceland Beautiful and Riverkeeper.
