Poets Jayme Cooper and Diana Wilkins have organized an evening of live music and verse called “In Celebration Of Renewal” on Saturday in Nyack. “Spring is here, in name—and bit by tedious bit, it can be seen and felt. What better occasion to celebrate than spring,” said Cooper.
Wilkins organizes LGBT programs and events and helps produce VCS’ annual Gay Pride Rockland celebration in June. In her spare time, Diana writes poetry and teaches college composition and literature at Dominican College and The College of New Rochelle.
Cooper was profiled in the Local Arts Index in January and is an agent at Weld Realty.
Other local poets will participate
The program of poetry and live music, that includes food and wine, will start at 6:30p on Saturday, March 29, at ML Gifts at 77 S. B’way.
