Snark Alley: Sochi Cute Puppy at the Olympics!

by Dan White

Animal rights advocates were shocked to hear Russian Olympics officials were killing stray dogs before the Sochi Winter games began to make sure these owner-less pets didn’t interfere with the games. Some of their worst fears proved to be well founded when a dog wandered into the opening ceremonies and another greeted skiers at the cross country competition.

Cartoonist Dan White had a few thoughts about how the Russian pooch population might leave their mark on the Sochi Winter Olympics, perhaps inspiring some new Olympic events.

Dan White lives in Nyack with his wife and son. When he’s not working as an editor in Manhattan, he draws and writes blogs at Sarah Loves Picnics and Uncle Otto’s Free Fun Coloring Pages.
