On November 27, anyone who needs a Thanksgiving meal will be offered a delicious turkey dinner with all of the trimmings. The feast is courtesy of Soup Angels’ eighth “Come to the Table” event, made possible by the generous help of our community.
This year, our not-for-profit, non-sectarian soup kitchen supported 100% on donations has received requests from Rockland County community organizations for 2000 meals this Thanksgiving, in addition to the 300 sit-down dinners we serve the same day. This represents a 700-meal increase over last year.
Soup Angels’ all-volunteer soup kitchen has served seven years of nutritious, hot meals every Monday and Wednesday in Nyack from 5:30-6:30p, no questions asked. We have never missed a meal — even during Hurricane Sandy, when our dinners fed both the needy and the first-responders.
Won’t you help us to make this Thanksgiving brighter for neighbors who are hungry? Your donation in any amount is fully tax deductible and may be made via Paypal at www.SoupAngels.com or by check payable to Soup Angels FRC, PO Box 565, Nyack NY 10960.
