Travyon Martin Rally In Nyack on Sunday

Trayvon Martin VerdictThe members of the Rockland Coalition to End the New Jim Crow are holding a march and rally at 4p on Sunday, July 21 to protest the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. A flyer being posted around downtown Nyack reads, in part:

“We feel there must be a public display of our outrage with this verdict here in Rockland. Please join with us this Sunday to honor the memory of Trayvon Martin, express solidarity with his family and to call for an end to the systematic devaluation of Black lives.”

The rally and march starts at 4p in the Main Municipal Parking Lot on Main Street in Nyack (In front of the building that was formerly known as Riverspace.)
