Learn to Row At Rockland Lake, July 22-26

Learn to Row from the experts at the River Rowing Association mornings or evenings from July 22-26. There are two time frames available during the day to fit into your schedule:

  • July 22nd – 26 (Monday-Friday) 7a.m – 9 a.m
  •  July 22nd – 26 (Monday – Friday) 6:30p.m – 8:30p.m.

Program Description

The Learn to Row program is a great way for adult beginners to learn rowing. The program is designed to allow you to quickly progress by using a small group setting to teach the fundamentals of the sport. The first part of each session typically starts on land to reinforce the basic skills and knowledge of rowing.

Safety Policy: Good attendance is crucial to safety and maximum learning. Rowers must attend all classes, and are encouraged to choose another term if they cannot commit to a minimum of 80% class attendance overall. Successful completion of this program is a prerequisite for entry into the novice and competitive or recreational Masters program.

Venue: Rockland Lake. North entrance, take first right, first parking lot on the left.

Fee: $300 for 10 hours of coached training (check payable to River Rowing Association)

Alternate schedule setting: If this schedule doesn’t work for any reason, then 5 private learn to row lessons can be scheduled at preferred days/time. Five hour private lessons equal to the same amount of knowledge obtained during learn to row group lesson. Fee: $380.
