Classic cars will once again roll into the center of Nyack and settle in the Main Street by Riverspace for the second annual Classic Car Cruise on Thursday, July 11 from 5p until dusk.

This year’s line-up of vehicular perfection will include a wide array of classics, antiques, specialty models and muscle cars. Admission will be free.

Promising a summer evening full of fun for automotive aficionados, families and friends alike, entertainment will include classic favorites spun by DJ Rockin Richie Lea, face painting by Jamie’s Faces and balloon art by Star Blossom Goddess.

Visitors coming to Nyack to show their cars and admire those on display can also take advantage of the wide variety of fine and casual dining choices and eclectic array of specialty shops available throughout the village. Local merchants will be offering one-time-only special deals to add further temptations to the evening’s mix.

“This community-centered event promises to once again attract a strong showing of car enthusiasts — people who take pride in owning and maintaining special vehicles as well as people who appreciate them,” said Nyack Chamber of Commerce President Scott Baird.  “It’s also a great opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy the village’s unique restaurants, boutiques and service businesses.”

During the event, Rockland Rodders will conduct a 50/50 auction, with proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project.

“Visitors can expect not only to see beautifully maintained vintage and specialty cars, but also to enjoy a fun night out with friends and family,” said Mark Mangan, event organizer.  “Our exhibitors, entertainers and sponsors are planning a great show, so everyone will have a memorable night in Nyack.”

In the event of bad weather, a rain date is set for Thursday, July 18.
