It’s a 12 year old recipe that’s one part foodie, two parts charity with just a dash of sexism mixed in to make it interesting. Nyack Center holds their 12th annual Men Cooking fundraiser on Sun June 9 from 5-7p at the Nyack Center. Volunteer chefs — all men — cook for the public, serving up a wide variety of dishes including ethnic cuisines, homemade ice cream and great BBQ, too.
So You Think You Can Cook?

Two local Nyack celebrity chefs will be cooking this year. Vinnie Cuccia from The Strawberry Place and Pastry Chef-Didier Dumas of Patisserie Didier Dumas will show off their culinary talents along with the other volunteers.
The event includes a live auction of a Sushi Lesson and a sake tasting by Chef Doug Nguyen of Wasabi, a brunch cooked in private home for 20 people by Vinnie Cuccia of The Strawberry Place, and crepe making class with Didier Dumas of Patisserie Didier Dumas.
Tickets for Men Cooking are $20/adult and $10/child with all proceeds benefiting the Nyack Center. For more information and tickets, call Kim Cross at 358-2600 or email: kim.cross@nyackcenter.org.
